Central and Eastern Eurobarometer Holdings Download PageWhat do I do on this page? This page provides links to the Electronic Data Center's holdings of Central and Eastern Eurobarometer studies. Before using this page, you are advised to first visit our series description page to learn about the study series and the topics covered in each study. To Download a Study: Under each study number, you will see a link to a codebook (in PDF format unless noted otherwise) and SPSS (ready to use) data file. Occasionally, there will also be further appendices or questionnaires (also in PDF unless noted otherwise). Right-click on the appropriate link. If you are using Internet Explorer, choose "Save link as..." and then identify the appropriate directory on your computer. On Netscape or Mozilla, the appropriate choice is "Save link target as..." Once these files have downloaded successfully, you should be able to open them on your computer with the appropriate programs. If you have any problems in downloading files, or if you need help with converting files into different formats, please visit the EDC Help Pages or contact a staff member at the EDC. For each study, the documentation are available in either .txt or .pdf format, while the data are available in SPSS format (.sav files). For more recent studies, the data are also available in SPSS portable format (.por) and in Stata format (.dta). Depending on the study, there will also be supplementary information such as questionnaires, additional documentation, and/or syntax to create "user-defined" missing values in SPSS (.sps) or Stata (.do). Our holdings of Eurobarometer data are from the ICPSR. Additional data files are available from the German Social Science Infrastructure Services (GESIS). GESIS also has a search engine for Eurobarometer codebooks and questionnaires that is very useful for identifying the topical contents of individual studies. | ||
